Rate of Pay: Support Worker £15.13 / Care Assistant £17.65 (including Holiday Pay)

Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 6 months paid, professional experience working as a support worker within a nursing home, residential or supported living settings, within the last 3 years.
- Certificate / confirmation of experience and competence in administering medication
- To be registered or willing to register with NISCC
- To complete an Access NI check
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
Desirable Criteria:
- NVQ Level 2 and upwards in Health & Social Care
- Experience working as Senior in charge of the site
Duties may include:
- Administering medication
- Taking responsibility and being in charge of a residential unit / supported living site and a small care team of staff
- Assisting residents with personal care, washing, shaving, toileting, oral hygiene
- Moving and Handling (use of hoists and slide sheets)
- Assist with feeding and drinking
- Handling personal possessions and documents
- Observing and monitoring of residents
- Providing support and encouragement to residents in areas of daily living
- Delivering person centred care and support the safeguarding of individuals
- Ensuring respect, dignity and rights of privacy for residents as far as possible
- Adhering to all Policies and Procedures of the Company.
- Adhering to NISCC standards.
- Adhering to Legislation
- Adhering to Health and Safety.
- Maintain Confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain Quality and Compliance.
- To demonstrate a high degree of professionalism.
- Familiarise yourself with the Risk Assessment and Care Plans for the Service User.
- Ensure the Home is kept tidy during your visit and that any area you use is cleared and left tidy.
- Record all activities as requested.
- Report and accidents, untoward visits or concerns.
- Comply with Moving and Handling Training and under no circumstances breach this training.
- Liaise fully with the Service User and LLHC and keep a positive channel of communication.
