Hours: 17 hours per week
Salary: £13 per hour
About:
Lucas Love Healthcare are working alongside their client to recruit an experienced Cook to join their Care Home within Carryduff.
Main Duties:
- Ensuring residents receive nutritious, high quality meals tailored to their dietary needs
- Responsible for preparing meals and snacks in line with residents dietary requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation and storage areas
- Managing stock
- Ordering supplies
- Controlling waste
- Plan varied and balanced menus that accommodate dietary requirements and likes
- Providing clear instructions and supervision to any kitchen assistants
- Complete necessary paperwork, including food safety records and compliance documentation
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations such as COSHH and HACCP
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in cooking, ideally within a care setting or catering environment
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Understanding of dietary requirements eg IDDSI, allergen, diabetes etc.
- Eligibility to live and work within the UK
- Medical fitness to carry out physical requirements of the role
