Position: Band 3 Administrator
Location: Derry / Londonderry
Type: Temporary (August 2025 – December 2025)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £13.80 per hour
About:
Lucas Love Healthcare are working alongside their client to recruit Band 3 Administrator for a hospital setting based in Derry/Londonderry.
Main Duties:
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Clinical Education Centre’s Nursing, Midwifery and AHP staff in the planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of programmes.
- Ensure accurate programme information is added to management systems
- Process programme/course applications
- Manage in-bound and out-bound telephone & electronic communications, ensuring sensitive or urgent matters are dealt with appropriately.
- Undertake reception duties including, for example, greeting and providing direction to visitors, programmes participants and external providers etc.
- Ensure room booking details are accurately captured and managed on booking system. Liaise with, and assist, stakeholders to ensure appropriate room set up (including clinical and digital equipment) and assist with any technical issues that may arise.
- Set up all aspects of online education sessions and meetings ensuring basic technical issues can be resolved as required.
- Efficiently organise and manage electronic diaries.
- Input and retrieve data from manual and electronic systems in line with relevant policies, procedures and associated information governance requirements.
- Provide administrative and clerical support for online and face-to-face meetings, workshops and events. Assist with requirements such as venues, speakers, presentations and catering. Take accurate minutes and distribute any papers, presentations or other documents as required.
- Order non-clinical items using BSO’s procurement system, maintaining nonclinical stores and ensuring sufficient stock at all times.
- Order clinical items using BSO’s procurement system following clinical staff direction.
- Promptly report any facility issues/defects to relevant people/organisations. Follow up as required to ensure prompt action is taken.
- In line with local arrangements and relevant policies receipt and handle money ensuring that it is safely kept and support in its transfer to the bank.
Essential Criteria:
- Full UK Drivers License and access to a car
- Experience in minute taking
- Five GCSEs Grade A-C or equivalent, including GCSE English Language and Maths, or equivalent
- One year’s experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
OR
- 18 months experience in a clerical/ secretarial/administrative position
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience arranging online meetings / sessions and ensuring basic technical issues can be resolved.
