Meet The Team
Wendy joined Lucas Love Healthcare in 2020 as Managing Director. Wendy qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1990 and worked for 16 years in the Independent Nursing Home sector in various roles including 10 years as a manager of a 72 bedded home and 2 years as Area Manager. During this time she completed her Bachelors degree in Health and Social Services management. Wendy then worked for 10 years as Operations Director for one of the UKs largest childrens home companies.
Wendy is very excited about her role in Lucas Love as she is passionate about healthcare and fully understand the needs of their customers.
Catherine joined Lucas Love Healthcare in 2018, having previously worked as a Group Accountant in a national social care company. Catherine has over 10 years’ experience working within a large finance department in the private sector. Catherine studied at Queen Margaret University Edinburgh receiving a BA (Hons) in Business Management. Catherine then went on to study with Accounting Technicians Ireland 2008 and Chartered Accountants Ireland 2015. Catherine’s role involves working alongside the Managing Director, customers and employees to ensure a professional and efficient finance department.
Teresa has over five years’ experience in the financial market. She is responsible for working alongside the Finance Director, leading the payroll team and assisting with sales, purchase ledger and general finance administration.
Teresa previously worked for a well-known accountancy and insolvency firm in Belfast before joining Lucas Love Healthcare in April 2013.
Cherith is a professional sales manager and negotiator with 20 years’ experience in direct and non-direct sales and customer service within both the public and private sectors. She has a proven track record in selling and negotiating contracts with Local Authorities and Government bodies, having worked for one of the largest childcare organisations in the UK as Referrals and Sales Manager.
Cherith began working for Lucas Love Healthcare in February 2019 and is managing the recruitment, customer services and placement of staff for Lucas Love Associates.
Gloria joined Lucas Love Healthcare in January 2016. With over 15 years of experience working in various roles of healthcare she has acquired a wealth of knowledge in healthcare and business development. Gloria’s strength is her passion for healthcare and her ability to build new client relationships and maintain existing ones. She is also responsible for recruitment of experienced and skilled healthcare staff.
RECRUITMENT & COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Katie graduated from the University of Ulster with a degree in Human Resource Management. She has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working within the healthcare industry for over a decade before joining Lucas Love Healthcare in 2016.
Katie is responsible for the recruitment of experienced and skilled healthcare staff. She oversees the compliance team, ensuring potential and existing employees have a smooth and professional experience with Lucas Love Healthcare.
REGISTERED NURSE MANAGER & DOMICILIARY MANAGER
Nicola qualified as a nurse in 1994 with a DipHEd in Learning Disability and worked exclusively within the care home setting for 20 years. During this time, she gained a wealth of different experiences and held a variety of roles, including nine years as Home Manager of a care home for people with learning disabilities. Nicola also has experience in care of the elderly and people who have dementia.
Nicola has worked with Lucas Love Healthcare as the Registered Nurse Manager since November 2014.
