Lucas Love Healthcare are ensuring that all staff are kept updated with any changes in guidance from the Public Health Agency – updates will be sent as often as necessary to ensure that all staff are aware of all essential information and new guidance as it is issued.
Staff have been advised to contact the office immediately if they:
- Have been in contact with anyone who is suspected of having COVID-19
- Have travelled or are planning to travel to any of the listed at Risk areas
- Are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19
Following new guidance from the Government on 12th March 2020, all staff have also been advised to contact the office if they have:
- A new persistent cough
- Fever
Staff can also access advice from Lucas Love healthcare through the 24 hour on-call arrangements – in using this they will be able to speak with the Senior On-Call who will be able to advise on what further action may need to be taken.
All our staff have up to date infection control training.
All office staff have been given the information they need to ensure that any issues reported by staff members are escalated to the Managing Director and Nurse Manager.
In conjunction with medical advice, a decision will be made as to whether the staff member is able to continue to work, or will need to self-isolate.
We will ensure that all sites the staff member has been placed in within the previous 14 days are informed of their actual/possible exposure to COVID-19.
Lucas Love Healthcare has a contingency business plan/action plan in place which includes being able to provide continuity of service to all our clients in the eventuality that the office may have to close. This plan is reviewed and updated on a daily basis.
All sites will be given the option of block booking the same staff members in order to reduce the risk of staff members coming into contact with COVID-19 in other settings.
